World’s Most Luxurious Chocolates

Chocolate is one of the few things that many people around the world love to consume. It comes in different shapes, sizes, packaging, and prices. There are basic chocolates and chocolate bars available at every convenience store around the world - in fact we’re not sure that there is a store in existence that doesn't stock chocolate! And then there are the more ‘luxurious’ chocolates that you’ll only find in certain high street stores and online.

Some countries such as Switzerland, Belgium, and Italy etc.. manufacture some of the most luxurious chocolates in the world. People who travel to these countries specifically visit chocolate stores to taste them. Don’t worry, we’ve done the leg work for you and below is a list of some of the most luxurious chocolates in the world today:

World’s Most Luxurious Chocolates

  • Richart Chocolates
  • Richart is well known to experiment with chocolate’s taste. They are available in fruit flavors, spice flavors, and so many others that one cannot even imagine in chocolate. They are a family-owned French brand and part of the list of one of the most luxurious chocolate brands that the world knows about. Their chocolate retails for $166 for 81 pieces and if that is not luxurious, then what is? We’ve not personally tried this chocolate before but we’d love to hear from you if you have! The reviews online tell us that it’s absolutely delectable.

    1. Vosges Haut Chocolat

A chocolate company owned by, Katrina Markoff, named Vosges Haut Chocolat has some of the most scrumptious chocolates with the most unusual ingredients on the market. It may seem slightly gross when you first think of it added to the chocolate but all the ingredients are hand-picked by Katrina herself, so it shows how much the company means to her and wants to ensure customer satisfaction. Flavours include bacon, marshmallow, horseradish, violet flowers and much much more.

Her chocolate’s prices begin at $90 and go up according to what goes in it and how much one buys. Some of the more expensive chocolates on the site go into the hundreds of pounds (and a few sneak into 4 figures!). They also have gift boxes so if you are planning to give someone a fancy gift, you can go for their chocolate gift box.

    1. Amedei Tuscany

Amedei is not only one of the most luxurious chocolates out there but is also extremely famous worldwide. They make one of the yummiest chocolates in the world. The Italian company uses the simplest ingredients but the taste of their chocolate is like no other when compared. They use a very pure cocoa bean to make their chocolates which is why they are so expensive. One bar costs over £90. They are worth every penny though (if you fancy some high end indulgence for a treat).

    1. Wispa Gold Chocolate by Cadbury £1,600

Now, reading the name Cadbury may throw you off because you may think, Cadbury is not that expensive. However, this specific chocolate by Cadbury retailed for £961 for the launch of the Cadbury’s Wispa Gold Bar. It was on show at Selfridges London and sold to the highest bidder.

The chocolate was wrapped in an edible gold leaf which is what makes it so expensive. It was launched years ago in the UK market but it has recently been introduced again. It is the world’s second most expensive chocolate and if that does not scream luxury, nothing else will.

    Conclusion

Chocolate, luxurious or not, is a tasty commodity (and of course you may think we’re being slightly biased here!). If you can afford to try out at least of these luxurious and expensive chocolates, you should go for it. It is an experience in itself and you may even be able to see whether they are worth the money they sell for in the market. It may be that you're looking to gift a luxury chocolate hamper to a friend or relative, great choice! Whether it's a bar of Cadburys Dairy Milk or something a little higher end, there will be a retailer online who can help.
